NATO plans to significantly increase the production of weapons across all categories, Secretary General Mark Rutte said.
According to Rutte, allies will announce major new defense contracts and agreements at the upcoming NATO summit in Turkey. The Alliance is also expected to sign a series of letters of intent aimed at expanding defense industrial cooperation, UATV English reports.
Rutte said the decisions are intended to demonstrate NATO’s unity and determination to strengthen its collective security.
He added that the measures would send a clear signal not only to NATO members but also to Russia.
Earlier, during a joint press conference with Rutte, U.S. President Donald Trump said Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy was “doing quite well” in Ukraine’s war against Russia.
