The state enterprise “The International Broadcasting Multimedia Platform of Ukraine” has expanded its partnership with Moldova’s national telecommunications operator Moldtelecom. From now on, the Ukrainian foreign broadcasting channel “Dim”, aimed at Ukrainians abroad, is included in all television packages of the provider and is available via the IPTV network.
According to the UN, currently about 140,000 Ukrainian refugees live in Moldova, who left Ukraine due to the full-scale war. This constitutes about 4–5% of Moldova’s population.
In Moldova, the “Dim” channel is also available via the HOTBIRD-13G satellite, on international OTT platforms, and in the networks of national providers Arax-Impex SRL, EUROTELECOM S.R.L., TVOTT SRL, ALIANŢA-TV S.R.L., and others.
Moldtelecom is one of the leading telecommunications operators in Moldova, providing internet, digital television, and fixed-line services. The company serves hundreds of thousands of subscribers across the country through its own modern broadband network.
Subscribers of Moldtelecom get access to a wide range of TV channels, including local and international, sports, children’s, news, and entertainment programs. Viewing is available on various devices through the Moldtelecom TV application, which supports simultaneous access from multiple gadgets. The Moldtelecom TV service provides interactive features: pause and resume viewing, program recording, on-demand content, subtitles, language selection, and parental control, allowing users to conveniently manage broadcasting and ensure safe viewing.
One of the advantages of the provider is the digital television service (OTT) Moldtelecom TV GO, which allows watching TV channels from anywhere in Moldova, regardless of the internet provider. Viewing is available directly via the Moldtelecom TV application, which works on smartphones and tablets (Android/iOS), smart TVs (Samsung, LG, Hisense, Android TV), TV boxes (Android, Apple TV), and in a web browser.
The FREEДОМ Ukrainian foreign broadcasting channel, aimed at a Russian-speaking audience worldwide, is also broadcast in the Moldtelecom network.
