President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Ukrainian long-range strikes targeted multiple facilities supporting Russia’s war effort, including fuel infrastructure in the Stavropol region and tankers from Russia’s shadow fleet in the Black Sea, UATV English reports.
In a statement published on social media, Zelenskyy said Ukraine continues to respond to Russian attacks by striking military and economic assets that enable Moscow’s aggression.
According to the president, the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) struck three oil depots in Russia’s Stavropol region, while units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine hit another fuel facility in the same area.
Zelenskyy also said Ukrainian forces scored direct hits on three Russian shadow fleet tankers operating in the Black Sea. The vessels are part of the fleet Russia uses to transport oil and fuel while circumventing Western sanctions.
“We continue to respond to Russian strikes in a fair and precise manner. Today, our long-range sanctions reached the designated targets that support and finance Russian aggression,” Zelenskyy said.
The president thanked the Ukrainian military units involved in the operation, saying their actions are helping expand “Russia’s understanding that this war must be brought to an end.”
The statement follows a series of Ukrainian long-range strikes targeting Russian energy infrastructure, military logistics and vessels linked to Moscow’s shadow fleet.
