Ukraine’s second president, Leonid Kuchma, will again represent Ukraine at the Tripartite Contact Group (TCG) to resolve the Donbas situation.
“Already on June 5th there will be the first meeting of the Tripartite Group with Leonid Danilovich Kuchma,” during the briefing Volodymyr Zelenskyi said, Novosti Donbasa reported.
Kuchma said that he could not refuse this proposal.
“I’ve gotten used in my life to making decisions and carrying them out. The meeting with the president showed that I have such an opportunity – to make my contribution. Today there is an opportunity to work for the benefit of Ukraine,” he said.
Zelenskyi said that at the TCG meeting on Wednesday, specific proposals on the settlement of the conflict in the Donbas will be voiced.
Kuchma has represented Ukraine at the TCG since June. 2014.
