Hungarian Foreign Minister Anita Orbán has said that Hungary is seeking to rebuild trust in its relationship with Ukraine.
She made the statement on X in response to a post by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha, UATV English reports.
In his post, Sybiha spoke about opening a new chapter in relations between Ukraine and Hungary following agreements reached on issues concerning national minorities.
“Hungary seeks to rebuild trust with Ukraine through concrete results, mutual respect, and the full protection of the rights of the Hungarian community in Transcarpathia,” Orbán wrote.
Following the agreement between Ukraine and Hungary on minority rights, the Cypriot Presidency of the European Union announced the launch of the formal process for opening an accession negotiation cluster for Ukraine.
