First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal held an online meeting with Finland’s Minister of Climate and Environment Sari Multala.

According to UATV English, the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine reported on the meeting.

“Finland has already delivered 70 humanitarian shipments to Ukraine — including power transformers, generators, mobile boilers, electric motors, cables, and components for restoring and modernizing the energy infrastructure,” Shmyhal said.

The minister briefed his colleague on the current situation in Ukraine’s energy system and the needs of local energy companies, highlighting the demand for powerful generators and mobile thermal stations for Kyiv, Kharkiv, Odesa, and other communities affected by daily Russian attacks on energy infrastructure.

Shmyhal and Multala also discussed the development of partnerships between Ukrainian and Finnish energy companies.

Earlier, on 16 January, Finland announced a new package of defense aid to Ukraine worth about €98 million.
