“Everything impossible can happen in Putin’s head”: is the Russian Federation ready to start a war against the Baltic countries, said expert

Russia may start a war against the Baltic countries, since Russian President Vladimir Putin needs to maintain his own rating. This opinion was expressed on the FREEDOM TV channel by Sergei Jerj, candidate of political sciences, head of the Ukraine-NATO Public League.

“Anything impossible can happen in Putin’s head. We have often heard the conclusion that there will be no war against Ukraine. They told us about the “brotherly people,” about friendship, about Slavic unity, and then they talked about how to drop an atomic bomb on Ukraine,” he emphasized.

Waging war in Ukraine no longer creates a sufficient image for the dictator; it is for this that Putin can open a second front, the expert believes.

“The large-scale war in Ukraine does not create an image of a successful macho Putin in Russia. Maybe there is already a need to open a second front in order to support this rating,” he noted.

Putin cannot use all the opportunities and resources in Ukraine. For example, Russian naval ships can no longer enter the Black Sea.

“If we talk about the Russian Navy, then according to the Montreux Convention, no Russian ships can enter the Black Sea. Therefore, one can only boast about the fleet in Northern Europe, because it is impossible to bring these ships into the Black Sea,” the expert said.
