New Ukrainian Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ruslan Homchak highlighted his vision for the future of the armed forces, including continuing the path toward training troops according to NATO standards.
Homchak said that some of his other goals include fighting corruption, taking stock of military equipment, ensuring equipment maintenance, and securing Ukraine’s arsenals, Holos Ukraini reports.
New Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi said that Khomchak will implement Western standards in the Ukrainian Army.
Ukraine’s Armed Forces should be at the same level as the best armies in the world, he said.
