Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has instructed Head of the National Police of Ukraine Serhiy Kniazev to dismiss police chiefs in nine districts of three regions.
He stated this at today’s meeting dedicated to the illegal amber extraction during his visit to Olevsk town in Zhytomyr region, an Ukrinform reported.
In particular, these dismissions were referred to five districts in Rivne region, two districts in Zhytomyr region, and two districts in Volyn region.
Also, Zelensky instructed Acting Chief of the Security Service of Ukraine Ivan Bakanov to dismiss the heads of regional departments of the Security Service of Ukraine in Zhytomyr, Volyn and Rivne regions.
In addition, Zelensky asked the head of the Zhytomyr Regional Department of Forestry and Hunting Andriy Kurinskiy to resign due to the situation in the region with illegal amber extraction.
