Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has announced that the first “working meeting” in the Normandy format is scheduled for July.
He stated this during a joint press conference with German Chancellor Angela Merkel today, a Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“As for the return to the Normandy format and a date of the meeting […] The main issue for every Ukrainian is to put an end to the war. Therefore, firstly, we discussed the holding of the meeting after the parliamentary elections in Ukraine, and I spoke about this with President of France Emmanuel Macron yesterday. But I want this meeting to be held urgently, that’s why the first working meeting is scheduled for July,” Zelensky said.
