On May 30, 2019, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi made a submission to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on the dismissal of two ministers and the Head of the Security Service of Ukraine.
Zelenskyi appealed to Parliament to dismiss Pavlo Klimkin from the post of Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and Stepan Poltorak from the post of Minister of Defense of Ukraine. The third submission concerns the dismissal of Vasyl Hrytsak from the post of Head of the Security Service of Ukraine.
The submission reads that the president is acting on the basis of the Constitution and the relevant laws of Ukraine. Zelenskyi insists on urgent consideration of these issues by the Parliament.
In addition, files are being drafted in the Presidential Administration regarding the dismissal of Yuriy Lutsenko from the post of Prosecutor General of Ukraine.
