President Volodymyr Zelenskyi submitted Law on Impeachment for parliamentary voting, President’s Advisor Ruslan Stefanchuk stated during a press briefing.

“Today, Volodymyr Zelenskyi handed over to the Verkhovna Rada a draft Law “On Special Procedure of Removing President from the Post (Impeachment).”

Stefanchuk said, that along with the submission of the aforementioned draft to the Verkhovna Rada, the President’s team also reminded the MP’s about the already submitted draft law on lifting parliamentary immunity, which they have to vote on as well. Stefanchuk also added, that now the ball is in Parliamen’s court, if they to decide to vote positively, or not. If not, Zelenskyi’s team will be waiting for the opportunity to form a new Parliamentary majority after the snap elections to make a new attempt.
