Zelenskyi Appoints New Commander-in-Chief

New Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi appointed Lt. Gen. Ruslan Homchak as Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The corresponding decree was signed on Tuesday.

Earlier, Zelenskyi accepted the resignation of Army General Viktor Muzhenko from the post of Chief of the General Staff — Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Muzhenko had headed the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine since July 2014.
