President Volodymyr Zelenskyi Sworn In

Today, newly elected President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi was sworn in.

Deputies, foreign guests and other invited officials come to Parliament to witness the inauguration ceremony that began at 10 a.m.

The head of the Central Election Commission (CEC) announced the official results of the election. After that, the head of the Constitutional Court, Natalia Shaptala, announced that Zelenskyi fulfilled all the constitutional requirements necessary for the presidency and would swear an oath.

After taking the oath, the head of the CEC handed Zelenskyi the Certificate of the Presidency of Ukraine, and the President of the Constitutional Court handed over the official symbols of the authorities. After that, the new president made his inaugural speech.

At 11 a.m., in Mariinsky park, Ukrainian servicemen will commence an oath of service to the new Supreme Commander-in-Chief.

Zelenskyi, together with his wife, will make a solemn reception of foreign delegations at Mariyinsky Palace.

The inauguration ceremony includes more than 50 foreign authorities, including five presidents, the Canadian Minister of National Defense, and the U.S. Secretary of Energy, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Kateryna Zelenko.
