The head of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Refat Chubarov said that regardless of who is Ukraine’s president, the issue of Crimea’s de-occupation should be a priority, Ukrinform reported.
“Any president, regardless of his surname, if his activity is aimed at restoring the territorial integrity of Ukraine, he must start with Crimea. And he cannot escape from the Crimean Tatar problem, because it is one of the most urgent, most painful problems, and he will have to work with all Ukrainian partners on the international arena. Domestically, he will have to work with all political forces, and first of all with the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people,” he said.
