Russia needed three days to carry out another massive combined strike on Kyiv. This was stated today, July 6, by the Ambassador of the European Union to Ukraine, Katarína Mathernová, UATV English informs.
She noted that even before rescuers had managed to clear the rubble after the previous attack, a hail of missiles and drones once again fell on Ukraine’s capital. Mathernová emphasized that this was not an attack on military facilities, but another deliberate attack on civilians.
“Residential buildings became the targets. Houses burned down. Fires broke out in warehouses. Families with children and their pets were pulled from under the rubble. Each new strike carries the same message: Russia does not seek peace. It is trying to wear Ukraine down, intimidate its people, and break their will. It will not succeed. This is impossible,” Mathernová wrote on the social network X.
As reported, Ukraine is initiating an urgent meeting of the UN Security Council after Russia’s massive attack. Overnight, the aggressor country killed at least 11 people in Kyiv. The previous attack on July 2 claimed at least 31 lives in the capital.
