Ukraine Recovery Conference in Gdańsk Across Ukraine’s International Broadcasting Platforms: 1.5 Million Views, Poland Among Top Countries

Ukraine’s international broadcasting channels under the FREEДОМ, UATV and The Gaze brands actively covered the Ukraine Recovery Conference (URC 2026), held in the Polish city of Gdańsk.

Exclusive reports, thematic stories and expert commentary were broadcast on air and published across digital platforms — YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Telegram, TikTok, WhatsApp and X. In total, URC 2026 content across the digital platforms of the State Enterprise “International Broadcasting Multimedia Platform of Ukraine” (IBMPU) generated more than 1.5 million views*, including more than 850,000 views on Facebook and more than 460,000 views on YouTube. Up to 95% of the views came from international audiences. Countries showing particularly strong interest included Poland, the United States, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Russia, Kazakhstan, Germany, Uzbekistan and Belarus.

For Ukraine’s international broadcasting, URC 2026 provided an important opportunity to demonstrate to international audiences that support for Ukraine remains a long-term priority for its partners. Timely coverage of events in Gdańsk and direct communication with conference participants made it possible to deliver to global audiences clear messages about allied unity, new mechanisms of support for Ukraine, and the unwavering commitment to the country’s recovery and European integration. During the conference in Gdańsk, Ukraine’s international broadcasting journalists Oleh Borysov and Hennadii Kurkin produced reports, live stand-ups and exclusive interviews with conference participants.

The highest audience engagement was generated by coverage based on comments from Prime Minister of Ukraine Yuliia Svyrydenko regarding the expected outcomes of URC 2026 and the signing of agreements worth approximately $10 billion. On the UATV English Facebook page, the post generated more than 416,000 views: 91% of the audience came from abroad, including 25% from Poland, with Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Germany and Romania also among the leading countries.

International audiences also showed strong interest in Yuliia Svyrydenko’s statement that Russia is becoming increasingly aggressive toward the whole of Europe. On UATV English’s Facebook page, the post received 51,000 views: 99% international audience, including 11% from Poland, 9% from Bulgaria, 7% from Slovakia, 5% from the Czech Republic and 4% from Germany.

One of the top-performing pieces of content was an exclusive interview with Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico for Ukraine’s international broadcasting regarding his expectations for URC 2026, in which he emphasized the importance of dialogue and constructive cooperation. On the UATV English Facebook page, the interview received more than 166,000 views: 99% international audience, including 42% from Slovakia, 56% from the Czech Republic and 3% from Poland. Fico’s interview on the FREEДОМ.LIVE channel was viewed 27,000 times, with 23% of the audience from Russia, 12% from Uzbekistan and 9% from Kazakhstan.

A warm greeting by Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk to Ukrainian Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko during the opening of URC 2026 also attracted significant attention across Ukraine’s international broadcasting platforms. On the FREEДОМ YouTube channel, it received 80,000 views, while on the FREEДОМ.ЛЕНТА НОВОСТЕЙ channel it was viewed 28,000 times: 23% of viewers came from Russia, 12% from Kazakhstan, 7.1% from Germany and 6.8% from Uzbekistan. On the UATV English Facebook page, Tusk’s greeting, Yulia, feel at home,” received 58,000 views, with 99% of the audience being international and 45% coming from Poland.

Viewers across various Ukraine’s international broadcasting platforms also showed strong interest in Donald Tusk’s opening speech at URC 2026, We Believe in Ukraine’s Victory! On the FREEДОМ YouTube channel, it generated 61,000 views: 30% from Russia, 10% from Kazakhstan, 7% from Germany and 5.5% from Belarus. On FREEДОМ’s Instagram page, the speech received 57,000 views: 63% from Russia, 11% from Belarus, 7% from Kazakhstan and 3% from Germany.

Meanwhile, among the audience of the new UATV po polsku Facebook account, a statement made by former Polish President Aleksander Kwaśniewski during URC 2026 events — that the war in Ukraine could reach a ceasefire in the coming months — became especially popular, receiving 36,000 views, with 64% of the audience coming from Poland.

The UATV English audience also paid close attention to statements by world leaders and exclusive interviews featured in News Pulse broadcasts. Among them was German Chancellor Friedrich Merz’s statement that Ukraine is in a strong position on the battlefield and that Russia should begin negotiations on freezing the frontline. One-third of all views came from the United States (33%), followed by Canada (8%), the Philippines (6.5%), Japan (5%) and the United Kingdom (5%).

International audiences also showed strong interest in European Commissioner Valdis Dombrovskis’ statement that support for Ukraine is not merely assistance but a strategic investment in the security of the entire European continent. The highest number of views came from the United States (35.3%), Canada (10.3%), Japan (8.9%) and Australia (5%).

Ahead of URC 2026, experts on FREEДОМ discussed expectations for the conference and prospects for new decisions in support of Ukraine. During the event, they analyzed key statements by world leaders and the agreements reached, and after its conclusion assessed their impact on Ukraine’s recovery, investment attraction and further European integration.

Among Ukraine’s international broadcasting exclusives from URC 2026 was an interview with European Commissioner for Defence and Space Andrius Kubilius. In comments to FREEДОМ, he stated that Ukraine’s long-range strikes against targets inside Russia have not only defensive but also strategic significance by increasing pressure on the Russian leadership.

Thematic coverage of URC 2026 was also featured in the Nashe Vremya news program on the FREEДОМ TV channel, broadcast across the FREEДОМ, FREEДОМ.LIVE and FREEДОМ.ЛЕНТА НОВОСТЕЙ Russian-language YouTube channels, and adapted into English on the UATV English and The Gaze YouTube channels, Spanish on UATV Español, Portuguese on UATV Português, Arabic on UATV Arabic, German on UATV Deutsch, Polish on UATV po polsku, French on UATV Français, Hungarian on UATV Magyarul and Turkish on UATV Türkçe.

Overall, URC 2026-related content across IBMPU’s YouTube channels generated more than 460,000 views, more than 850,000 views on Facebook, and more than 130,000 views on Telegram.
