Ukraine’s air defense forces intercepted all six Iskander-M ballistic missiles launched by Russia at Kyiv during a large-scale overnight attack, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.
The military said Russian forces also launched two Zircon/Oniks cruise missiles, one of which was successfully destroyed by Ukrainian air defenses.
In addition to the missile attack, Russia deployed 142 attack drones of various types. Ukrainian air defense units shot down or electronically suppressed 125 of them.
The Air Force said the operation involved a combination of missile defense systems, aviation, electronic warfare assets, and mobile fire groups deployed across the country.
