Ukraine’s Defense Forces have doubled the number of successful strikes against Russian targets located more than 50 kilometers behind the front line, according to Minister of Defense Mykhailo Fedorov, UATV English reports.

In a statement posted on Facebook, Fedorov said Ukraine continues to weaken Russian military capabilities across three key domains — in the air, on the battlefield, and through attacks on the enemy’s logistical and economic infrastructure.

According to the minister, Ukrainian forces killed or seriously wounded 31,530 Russian troops over the past month. He noted that an increasing share of these losses is being inflicted far from Ukrainian positions and that each strike is verified through video evidence.

Fedorov highlighted the growing effectiveness of Ukraine’s “logistics lockdown” strategy, which aims to disrupt Russian supply routes and rear support networks.

“Following the president’s directive, we are expanding strikes against targets located between 20 and 150 kilometers from the front line. The number of successful strikes on targets more than 50 kilometers away has doubled. We have also recorded unprecedented results in destroying enemy vehicles and motorcycles,” he said.

According to Fedorov, Ukrainian forces are systematically targeting assets that sustain Russia’s offensive operations, including logistics hubs, transport infrastructure, and ammunition depots.

“The destruction of logistics networks, transport assets, and warehouses forces the enemy to divert resources toward maintaining its operations rather than advancing on the battlefield,” he said.

The minister also emphasized that strengthening Ukraine’s air defense remains a critical priority.

He said Ukrainian forces achieved a record number of interceptions of Shahed-type attack drones in May. Although Russia launched more than 10,000 attack drones during the month — approximately 25% more than in April — the number of drones destroyed increased by 50%.

Fedorov noted that interceptor drones played a key role in achieving those results, reflecting the growing sophistication of Ukraine’s defensive capabilities.

In addition, he highlighted the expanding use of robotic systems and unmanned ground vehicles on the battlefield. Over the past month, Ukrainian forces carried out more than 14,000 logistics and evacuation missions using robotic platforms, averaging around 455 missions every day.

According to Fedorov, the military’s “ePoints” battlefield management system is also helping commanders make decisions based on verified real-time data. The platform enables the armed forces to identify the most effective units, technologies, and tactics and rapidly implement successful practices across the military.

Earlier, Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense and the General Staff announced the launch of the “logistics lockdown” initiative, designed to expand medium-range strikes against Russian logistical infrastructure and supply routes behind the front line.
