Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has cast his ballot in the country’s parliamentary elections at a polling station in Yerevan, UATV English reports, citing Armenpress.

According to Pashinyan, he expects the elections to reflect the free will of Armenia’s citizens and emphasized that he will respect whatever decision voters make.

“The future of Armenia lies in a strategy of strengthening independence, statehood, democracy, and the rule of law. We will continue the course of democratic reforms, with the support of our European partners, of course,” Pashinyan said.

The Armenian prime minister stressed that the country’s development will remain focused on democratic governance and institutional reforms.

Earlier, voting began in Armenia’s parliamentary elections on June 7. Polling stations opened at 8:00 a.m. local time, with 2,005 polling stations operating across the country. Under Armenian law, no overseas polling stations are being opened for the vote.
