President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy is ready to meet with the Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin at any location except Moscow.

As reported by UATV English, this was stated on air of the national telethon by Presidential Office adviser Serhii Leshchenko.

“Volodymyr Zelenskyy is ready to meet anywhere, but not in Moscow. Because Moscow is the capital of an aggressor state. Such a format of negotiations is impossible,” Leshchenko said.

It is noted that this was effectively a response to the Russian side. Earlier, Putin’s aide Yuri Ushakov said that if Zelenskyy wants a meeting, he should call Moscow. According to Ushakov, Putin is ready to meet and such a meeting could be arranged.

It is also recalled that Ukraine and Russia, with mediation from the United States, reached a three-day ceasefire, which, according to U.S. President Donald Trump, would last on the 9th, 10th, and 11th. He also suggested that the truce could last longer than three days.

As for broader peace negotiations, they were effectively halted in February after the United States launched a military operation against Iran, shifting the focus of the Trump administration. However, Zelenskyy does not rule out that the negotiation process on Ukraine could resume by late spring or early summer.

Meanwhile, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated that while the United States wants to accelerate negotiations, the process of ending the war remains “too complex” and reaching a peace agreement will take considerable time.
