Ukraine has received more than 700 units of energy equipment from international partners, with a total capacity of around one gigawatt — roughly equivalent to a nuclear power plant unit.

This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister for Restoration Oleksii Kuleba during the Agency for Restoration’s 2025 summary presentationUATV English reports.

According to Kuleba, the assistance includes boilers, cogeneration units, and high-capacity mobile generators supplied by Azerbaijan, Belgium, Estonia, Italy, Canada, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Germany, Poland, the United Kingdom, the United States, Turkey, France, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, Sweden, and Japan.

Over the past week alone, Ukraine received more than 100 additional units of energy equipment.

Kuleba stressed that Ukraine still needs further support to ensure the stable operation of water treatment facilities, heating systems, and water supply. To address this, the government is creating a national reserve of mobile energy equipment.

“This reserve will allow us to maintain basic services for people during repair works. This is especially important in winter,” he said.

The government has allocated 2.6 billion hryvnias to form a reserve with a capacity of 130 megawatts. However, Kuleba noted that Ukraine’s overall needs remain higher, and the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development will continue to seek additional assistance from international partners.
