Ukraine, together with its international partners, is working on expanding funding for the PURL program, which enables the purchase of U.S. weapons, including air-defense systems and their missiles.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported this in his evening video address on Telegram, according to UATV English.

What is especially important in this program is the missiles for Patriot systems. Last night the Patriots performed very well — several Russian ballistic missiles were shot down. But we need significantly more capabilities, more systems, more missiles to protect lives,” Zelenskyy stressed.

The President also announced that Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and the Baltic states decided this week to allocate another $500 million to the PURL program.

“This will significantly help us,” he added.

He also noted that Ukraine is preparing new deliveries of powerful air-defense systems and strengthening its aviation.

“We are preparing a strong agreement with France, and I am confident we will finalize it soon — a historic agreement for us.”

As reported earlier, Denmark’s government and parliament have approved a new military aid package for Ukraine worth nearly 1.5 billion Danish kroner (around $217 million).
