About 60,000 Foreign Medical Tourists Visited Ukraine Last Year

Last year, about 60,000 foreign tourists came to Ukraine for treatment and spent nearly $150 million.

Foreign tourists who come to Ukraine for treatment, spend on average $2,000-2,500 for a visit, President of the Ukrainian Association of Medical Tourism Violetta Yanyshevska said during a meeting dedicated to medical tourism development chaired by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky,

Patients from China and the Arab countries are particularly “promising” for Ukrainian medical tourism, Yanyshevska said.

Ukraine should boost its investment in resorts, develop its hotels, and its transport infrastructure, Yanyshevska said.
