57 killed, 169 injured in Ukraine during first day of Russian brutal invasion

Ukraine’s Minister of Health stated that currently, 169 people were injured, another 57 were killed as a result of an attack by the Russian army on Ukrainian territory on February 24. He stated this on the air of the TSN TV channel.

The Minister also stated that medical institutions are being retrained in case of need.

Today at 5:00 pm, Russian President Vladimir Putin started a military operation in Donbas and called on the Ukrainian army to lay down its arms.

Ukraine imposed nationwide martial law.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba announced the beginning of the war of aggression against Ukraine.

One of Russia’s goals is to try to occupy the government district in Kyiv. Adviser to the head of the President’s Office Mykhailo Podoliak announced it during a briefing.

“Currently, there harsh battles in Hostomel (near Kyiv, – ed.) continue. And an attempt to break into the government quarter is possible. I said that one of the goals is to remove the country’s top leadership,” he explained.
