The Pentagon is considering a ground operation against Iran’s nuclear facilities. The US military is developing a scenario for seizing or destroying enriched uranium stockpiles instead of relying solely on airstrikes, UATV English reports, citing CNN.
It is noted that thousands of troops could be involved in such an operation, including special forces, rangers, and engineering units. Their task would be to secure the facilities, clear mines from the territory, and remove nuclear materials. Particular attention is being paid to facilities in Fordow, Isfahan, and the underground complex near Natanz. Washington has not officially confirmed plans for the operation so far.
It was previously reported that US intelligence is investigating whether Russia provided assistance to Iran in preparing Iranian attacks on CIA facilities in the Persian Gulf. The US has not yet reached final conclusions about Russia’s possible involvement in these attacks.
