30-year-old Ukrainian, Artem Dalakian, became the WBA world champion, defeating the American, Brian Viloria.

The referees unanimously handed over the victory to Dalakian with a score of 118-110.

Dalakian fought at a very good level. He mostly had the advantage against his opponent. His punches were more accurate, and his defense worked well. In the penultimate round, Viloria was struck by Dalakian’s elbow, but he did not give up. He boxed in the last round with his forehead still bleeding.

This was Dalakian’s 16th professional fight. Prior to this, he won 15 fights, 11 of which the Ukrainian boxer won before all the rounds were over.

The fight for the WBA World Flyweight Title took place in Inglewood, the United States, Sport.ua reported.

Dalakian became the third Ukrainian to own the world champion belt in professional boxing, joining Oleksandr Usyk and Vasyl Lomachenko.
