Ukraine’s top military commander, General Oleksandr Syrskyi, has confirmed that the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) are continuing operations inside Russian territory.

In a Facebook post following a meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief’s Staff, Syrskyi outlined the current battlefield situation:

“I gave a detailed report on the front line. The hottest directions are Pokrovsk, Novopavlivka, Northern-Slobozhanske, Dobropillia, and Lyman.”

He emphasized that Ukrainian soldiers are holding the line with courage and inflicting heavy losses on the invaders:

“Russia is paying the highest price for its so-called ‘summer offensive’ — around a thousand Russian soldiers killed or wounded every day.”

Syrskyi thanked Ukrainian defenders for their resilience, bravery, and professionalism under the most difficult conditions.

“Our operations on the territory of the aggressor state are ongoing,” he stressed.

The General also noted that the Staff discussed ways to strengthen defense stability, especially regarding unmanned systems and drone interceptors.

“The army needs more UAVs to protect the lives of our servicemen and civilians in the rear. We remain united and are working toward Victory.”
