Ukraine’s Defense Forces continued a systematic campaign against Russia’s operational rear throughout June, using medium-range strike systems to target military logistics, air defense assets, command posts, and supply infrastructure.
According to UATV English, the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine said the strikes form part of Ukraine’s broader defensive strategy aimed at disrupting Russia’s offensive capabilities.
“The destruction of logistics, warehouses, headquarters, air defense systems, and other components of Russia’s offensive activity using medium-range strike systems is aimed at implementing Ukraine’s defensive strategy, including stopping the enemy on the ground,” the ministry said.
Russian logistics remained one of the primary targets during the month. Ukrainian forces struck 15 bridges used by Russian troops to transport equipment, ammunition, and personnel across occupied territories.
The targeted infrastructure included eight railway bridges and seven road bridges located in occupied Crimea and the Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions.
According to the ministry, systematically disabling key transport routes isolates sections of the front line, complicates the movement of reserves, and disrupts Russian supply chains.
Ukraine also targeted nine Russian air defense and radar facilities during June.
The strikes hit four Pantsir-S1 air defense systems, three S-400 systems and associated radar components, the RBSN-4N short-range radio navigation system at the Saky airfield, as well as the Nebo and Skala-M radar complexes in occupied Crimea.
“These successful operations are part of a systematic strategy aimed at creating ‘blind spots’ in the enemy’s defense,” the ministry said.
According to the ministry, destroying radar stations and air defense systems reduces Russia’s ability to protect military assets and enables follow-on precision strikes against additional targets.
In addition to attacks on transport and air defense infrastructure, Ukrainian forces carried out more than 30 strikes against Russian warehouses storing ammunition, fuel, drones, and other military supplies.
The Defense Forces also struck more than 40 unmanned aerial vehicle command posts and 15 command and command-observation posts during the month.
Earlier, as reported that Ukrainian forces destroyed or damaged 2,074 Russian artillery systems during June.
