Ukraine is negotiating on the production of COVID vaccines with mRNA technology. They can be produced in Kharkiv.

This was stated by Minister of Health of Ukraine Viktor Liashko in an interview with Channel 24, UA reports.

“When we talk about the production of immunobiological drugs – so, today we see that there are already certain results of the localization of production from the Lekhim company in Kharkiv” – Liashko said.

The minister said that there are agreements to localize the production of other vaccines. The representatives of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine are negotiating now on the production of mRNA vaccine in Ukraine.

“By the end of this year, we will have a clear understanding how to establish all these processes” – the head of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine said.

The mRNA vaccines are Pfizer and Moderna. Over the past day, September 15, 118 786 Ukrainians were vaccinated against COVID-19. 68 806 people received one dose, and 49 980 people were fully immunized.
