Polish Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz said on Wednesday that the forceful remarks by U.S. President Donald Trump toward Russia should influence the Kremlin’s actions.
“The words spoken yesterday express impatience, enormous effort, encouragement, and the creation of space for discussion, for peace, and for a proposal of a ceasefire. All this was either ignored or rejected by Russia. It is no surprise that this impatience has grown until it reached its climax in a fairly clear declaration. I expect it will have consequences and will affect the Russian Federation,” Kosiniak-Kamysz emphasized.
Earlier, President Donald Trump said Ukraine is capable of regaining all territories seized by Russia, given the current state of the Russian Federation.
Separately, Polish President Karol Nawrocki, addressing the UN General Assembly, noted that Poland is once again facing signs of Russian imperialism and, for the first time since the end of World War II, was forced to open fire on hostile targets on its own territory.
