Nineteen people have been killed and another 66 wounded as a result of a combined Russian attack on Ternopil, UATV English informed.

The Office of the Prosecutor General and the National Police of Ukraine reported this.

“As of 12:00, it is known that 16 people have been killed and another 64 injured, including 14 children,” the National Police stated.

UPD: At 12:49, the State Emergency Service (SES) reported that the number of dead had risen to 19.

Another 66 people, including 16 children, were injured. Rescuers have saved 45 people.

Earlier, Serhii Danilin, spokesperson for the Main Directorate of the SES in Ternopil region, said that people were killed at two locations in Ternopil.

“This is the total number of fatalities at two locations in the city of Ternopil. One location is a strike on the upper floors of a nine-story building, where there is significant destruction. At the other location, there was no major structural damage, but a massive fire broke out there,” Danilin said.

The Prosecutor General’s Office clarified that in Ternopil, missiles and UAVs hit two residential buildings on Stus Street and 15 Kvitnia Street, and also damaged an industrial facility.

Investigative teams and SES units are working at the scene, and firefighting operations are ongoing.

On the morning of 19 November, Russia attacked Ukraine with drones and missiles. Explosions were heard in Khmelnytskyi, Ivano-Frankivsk, Rivne, Lviv, and Dnipropetrovsk regions.
Media reported that a multi-storey residential building in Ternopil was destroyed as a result of the Russian attack.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy later reported nine people killed and dozens injured as a result of the massive combined Russian strike on Ukraine during the night and morning of 19 November. According to him, Russia launched more than 470 attack UAVs and 48 missiles of various types at Ukraine.

“All necessary services are working on the ground, trying to save every life. At the moment, there are reports of dozens of injured and, unfortunately, nine dead. My condolences to their families,” Zelenskyy said.

The Russians began their massive strike on Kharkiv already in the evening. Dozens of people in the city have been wounded, including children. The energy sector, transport, and civilian infrastructure have been damaged.

“They attacked our energy infrastructure in Ivano-Frankivsk region. Three people were injured, two of them children,” the president added.

In Lviv region, he said, they struck critical infrastructure and energy facilities. One person was wounded in Donetsk region. Kyiv, Mykolaiv, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, and Dnipropetrovsk regions also came under attack.

“Every brazen attack on ordinary life shows that the pressure on Russia is insufficient. Effective sanctions and assistance to Ukraine can change this. The top priority is air defense missiles, additional systems, increasing the capabilities of our combat aviation, and producing drones to protect lives. Russia must be held accountable for what it has done, and we must stay focused on everything that strengthens us and allows us to shoot down Russian missiles, neutralize Russian drones, and stop assaults,” the president stressed.

In Lviv, a large fire broke out in the morning of 19 November as a result of a Russian strike. An energy facility, a woodworking enterprise, and a warehouse building were damaged in the city.

Three people, including two children, were injured as a result of a combined Russian strike on Ivano-Frankivsk region.

As previously reported by UATV English, on November 19, Russia has conducted a major overnight strike against Ukraine, targeting several regions with a mix of attack drones, cruise missiles, and hypersonic weapons.
