The entire front line is now a little over 1000 kilometers – there are different degrees of hostilities. The first section is the Right Bank of Ukraine – Kherson, the second section is Zaporizhia, between Zaporizhia and Donetsk. The third section is Donetsk from Donetsk to Seversk. Colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in reserve, military expert Roman Svitan said this on the air of the FREEDOM TV channel.
“The first section is to the right of the Dnipro river. This is a practically operational environment for Russian troops. The right bank of the Dnipro, Kherson region… The right bank of the Dnipro is a training ground for practically using our equipment, our combat use against Russian troops. They can no longer leave this right bank – the bridges are broken, all the crossings that they build are also broken. They will be able to leave only on foot and already without equipment in the near future. Weeks can be considered, maybe a month – and this right-bank grouping will be destroyed, ”- the expert noted.
According to him, two bridgeheads have been wedged into the body of the right-bank group, which are expanding Ukrainian troops. One bridgehead south of Davydov Brod in the direction of Berislav and the second bridgehead south of Snigirevka, direction to the Antonovsky bridge north of Kherson.
“These two ledges will be expanded after certain tactical tasks have been completed. And most likely, the right-bank grouping, if it does not have time to escape, as it was in Izyum, then it will be cut into three parts and further destroyed. Pressed against the Dnieper, Kakhovka reservoir and destroyed. This is what concerns the Kherson region,” – Svitan predicts.
He also noted that between Zaporizhia and Donetsk, mostly variable tasks are being performed.
“Our troops are performing the task of counteroffensive and active defense. And in principle, we can say that this front is still frozen on the Ukrainian side, and no offensive actions are taking place on the Russian side, ” – said the guest of the studio.
There are several points on the Donetsk front that are active now – Donetsk, Maryinka, Krasnogorovka, Piski, and Avdiyivka. There, Russian troops are trying to push back the Ukrainian line of defense.
