The Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Dmytro Razumkov may be recalled this plenary week.

This is reported by UA with the reference to a message in the Telegram of Pavlo Frolov, the Chairman of the Subcommittee on the Rules of Procedure of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

He explained that the recall of the speaker is initiated by at least 150 deputies, and the next plenary day is included in the agenda of the session with at least 226 votes.

The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine must prepare a report on the work and implementation of the budget, and the Accounting Chamber of Ukraine must provide an opinion.

These documents are provided to the MPs no later than two days before the consideration of the recall in the hall.

“Voting for the resignation of the speaker takes place no later than 10 days after the inclusion of the issue in the agenda. The date of consideration is determined not by the speaker, but by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. So, the change of speaker is quite real this plenary week” – said Frolov.

According to him, the majority can also remove Razumkov as chairman of the meeting, using Art. 29 of the Regulations. Removal is possible for a maximum of two plenary sessions. This issue is initiated on the written proposal of two factions (groups) or 150+ MPs or the Committee on Rules of Procedure, Parliamentary Ethics and Administration of Verkhovna Rada’s Work.
