Operators of the Alpha Special Operations Center of the Security Service of Ukraine carried out successful strikes against Russian air defense assets and military airfields in temporarily occupied Crimea, the Ukrainian security service reported on June 24, according to UATV English.

According to preliminary information, the operation damaged four hangars used for storing aviation equipment at the military airfield Saky Air Base.

In addition, near Kerch, two weapons systems belonging to an S-400 surface-to-air missile complex were struck, along with two Pantsir-S1 missile-and-gun air defense systems. According to the SBU, this is the fourth air defense complex in the area that has been hit by Alpha operators.

“Russian occupiers are losing control of Crimea’s skies. Every destroyed air defense system and every struck military airfield creates new opportunities for further Ukrainian strikes against the enemy’s military infrastructure. The SSU will continue methodically turning Crimea into a territory of constant losses for the Russian army until it leaves the Ukrainian peninsula,” the agency stated.

As previously reported, Ukraine’s Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine used drones to attack and disable a railway bridge across the North Crimean Canal near the village of Rozdolne.
