No Signs of Russia Supporting US Peace Efforts – Latvian Foreign Minister Minister of Foreign Affairs of Latvia Baiba Braže reacted to the Russian army’s attacks on Ukrainian cities on Friday, calling for Russia to be forced to support the peace efforts of the United States.

According to Ukrinform, the head of the Latvian Foreign Ministry wrote about this on the social network X.

“Russia’s ‘traditional values’ demonstrated on Good Friday: war crimes, aggression, armed attacks on civilians, including a confectionery preparing food for Easter in Ukraine,” Brazier wrote, sharing President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s post about Russia’s shelling of Ukrainian cities and regions on Friday.

She also said there were no signs of Russian support for the United States’ peace efforts.

“There is no sign that Russia supports the peace efforts of the United States, it needs to be forced to do so,” Brazier said.

As Ukrinform reported, in the morning of April 18, Russians struck three Iskanders at the Osnovyansky district of Kharkiv. One of the missiles exploded in the air near a residential high-rise building. An elderly man was killed.

The head of the Kharkiv regional military administration, Oleh Syniehubov, said that 87 people were injured in the Russian strike on the Osnovyansky district of Kharkiv, 17 were hospitalized, three of them in very serious condition.

At dawn on April 18, Russians attacked a bakery in Sumy with three drones. The attack damaged the production of Easter cakes, killing one person and injuring another.

In addition, the Russian attack affected Sumy, Kharkiv, Dnipro, Mykolaiv, and Kyiv regions.
