Ukraine insists that Russia is persecuting Crimean Tatars, and points to the curent cases against them in the North Caucasus Miltary District Court of Russia as an example.

Ukrainian Crimeans, Muslim Aliyev, Emir Usein Kuku, Vadim Siruk, Enver Bekirov, Refat Alimov and Arsen Dzheparov, are being prosecuted in Russia on the charges of terrorism. They are accused for being a part of Hizb Ut-Tahrir, a terrorist organization

Ukraine asserts that these charges are false.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine urged Russia to immediately cease the persecution of Crimeans.

The ministry wants the world community to condemn the inhumane and illegal activities of the Russian judiciary. They also want other countries to put political and diplomatic pressure on Russia, so that Ukrainians illegally detained in Russia and in the now occupied Crimea are released.
