The Embassy of Italy in Ukraine, in the presence of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the diplomatic corps, took part in the commemoration of the victims of the recent Russian attack on Kyiv.
This was reported to Ukrinform by the Italian Embassy in Ukraine.

The wreath-laying ceremony took place in a residential neighborhood of Kyiv at the site of the Russian ballistic missile crash.

“We join the expressed condolences of the international community and continue to strongly condemn Moscow’s armed aggression,” said Ambassador Carlo Formosa.

He emphasized that in the constant search for peace, it is worth remembering that such tragedies occur regularly in all cities of Ukraine, and this frequency “risks becoming familiar to the international community.”

“Ukraine is a country that is experiencing aggression, fighting for its independence and freedom. It is especially important to emphasize this today, on the 80th anniversary of Italy’s liberation from fascism, when we celebrate the achievement of democratic values, later enshrined in the Constitution of our Republic,” the ambassador added.
