Ukraine’s General Staff responded to a report by its Russian counterparts on the “results of the 2025 spring-summer campaign,” calling it a lie and noting that Russia’s offensives ended “practically in nothing.”

“At its core, the report is an attempt to present wishful thinking as reality and outright lies. After three and a half years of the Kremlin’s full-scale aggression, its latest ‘seasonal’ offensive campaign ended practically in nothing.

Despite Gerasimov’s statements, Russian forces did not achieve full control over any major city. Instead, since the beginning of the year, in senseless battles in Kharkiv, Luhansk, and Donetsk regions, the Russians have lost nearly 210,000 soldiers killed and wounded, 2,174 armored fighting vehicles destroyed or damaged, 1,201 tanks, 7,303 artillery systems, and 157 multiple launch rocket systems.

The enemy’s fake reports about so-called ‘security zones’ in Sumy and Kharkiv regions are nothing more than an attempt to cover up failed operations that turned into a dead end and cost them tens of thousands of casualties.

This year alone, in the operational zone of the ‘Kursk’ group, our troops eliminated 19,080 enemy soldiers, with over 25,000 more wounded,” the General Staff wrote.

Ukrainian forces emphasize that the occupiers’ figures on seized territories are “significantly exaggerated,” but add that Russia’s losses — more than 291,000 soldiers killed and wounded — are “100% confirmed.”

The General Staff also dismissed the enemy’s claims about “precision weapons” and the “destruction of Ukraine’s missile industry,” calling them fairy tales.
