Czech, Austrian, Slovakian MFA heads start their two-day visit to Ukraine

February 7-8, Foreign Ministers Jan Lipavský (the Czech Republic), Alexander Schallenberg (Austria), and Ivan Korčok (Slovakia) will pay a joint visit to Ukraine. The press center of Ukraine’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports it.

The first-ever visit of the Slavkov trilateral foreign ministers demonstrates solidarity with our state against the backdrop of the aggressive actions of the Russian Federation,” reads the message.

The MFA heads will discuss further support for Ukraine in its countering Russian aggression, strengthening security cooperation, supporting the economic and financial stability, and implementing some containment measures against the Russian Federation. The diplomats will visit the hostilities zone in Donbas.

Slavkov trilateral (Austerlitz format, North-Trilateral), founded in January 2015, is a new format of cooperation in Central Europe. It is aimed at bolstering the cooperation between the three states of the region, as well as in the European forum.

As reported before, February 7-8, German Foreign Minister Annalena Berbock will also visit Ukraine.
