On Friday, Beijing denied providing lethal weapons to any of the parties to the war in Ukraine after President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that China was supplying weapons to Russia.
According to Ukrinform, Barron’s reports this with reference to the words of Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian.
“The Chinese side has never provided lethal weapons to any party to the conflict (Russia’s war against Ukraine – ed.) and strictly controls dual-use goods,” Lin Jian said.
He assured that Beijing’s position “on the Ukrainian issue is consistent and clear.”
“We have always actively made efforts to end hostilities and peace negotiations,” said the Chinese foreign ministry spokesman.
As reported earlier, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine had received information that China was supplying weapons to the Russian Federation. In particular, it is about gunpowder and artillery.
