Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in Ankara, Türkiye, today, July 7, where the NATO Summit is taking place. He announced this on Telegram, UATV English reports.
“There is important work ahead in Ankara. We expect a strong and productive NATO Summit. Right now, we need decisions that will provide greater protection for our people, more capabilities for our defense, and even stronger security cooperation between Ukraine, Europe, and America,” the president said.
The head of state will participate in the NATO Defense Industry Forum, and nearly two dozen bilateral meetings with world leaders are scheduled on the sidelines of the summit. New Drone Deals are also expected to be signed.
“We will continue to work on strengthening Ukraine’s air defense. New systems, missiles for them, and licensing for their production — all of this is our priority. We are grateful to everyone who is helping Ukraine through concrete actions,” Zelenskyy emphasized.
As previously reported, an additional €140 billion for Ukraine over the next two years could be approved at the NATO Summit in Ankara.
