Ukraine’s Security Service (SSU) has carried out another strike on Russian military air bases in occupied Crimea, targeting the Saky and Hvardiiske airfields, the agency said.
According to the SSU, seven aircraft shelters were hit at the Saky air base, where Su-30SM, Su-30, and Su-24 fighter and bomber aircraft were stationed. Preliminary information indicates that at least seven Russian aircraft were destroyed or damaged, UATV English reports.
The operation also targeted the Hvardiiske air base, where two hangars containing Shahed drones and aviation equipment were struck.
The SSU said both airfields are among Russia’s key military aviation bases in occupied Crimea and are regularly used to launch missile and air strikes against Ukraine.
Earlier, the SSU reported a separate strike on the Saky air base, confirming five drone hits on aircraft shelters used to store Russian military aircraft.
