Ukraine’s Defense Forces struck the JSC Research Institute of Physical Measurements in Russia’s Penza region overnight, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported.
According to the military, confirmed hits and smoke were recorded at the facility, UATV English reports.
The enterprise manufactures components for Russian weapons systems, including sensors for Iskander ballistic missiles, Kalibr cruise missiles, and Kh-101 air-launched cruise missiles. It also produces avionics components for Su-34, Su-35, and Tu-95MS aircraft, as well as equipment for Russian military reconnaissance satellites.
The General Staff also reported successful strikes on several key military logistics crossings used by Russian forces.
The targets included a bridge over the Malyi Kalchyk River near Hranitne in the Donetsk region, a railway bridge over the Tepla River near Nyzhnioteple in the Luhansk region, and a logistics crossing near Novoocheretuvate in the Donetsk region.
According to the Ukrainian military, Russian forces use these crossings to transport personnel, weapons, ammunition, and other military supplies.
