In temporarily occupied Crimea, Ukraine’s Defense Forces destroyed a railway bridge across the North Crimean Canal.
As UATV English reports, this was announced by the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation under the National Security and Defense Council, Andrii Kovalenko, and Ukraine’s Special Operations Forces.
“The railway bridge across the North Crimean Canal has been destroyed. We thank the SOF warriors and all the warriors of Ukraine’s Defense Forces,” Kovalenko noted.
For their part, the Special Operations Forces stated that “the railway bridge across the North Crimean Canal in Crimea no longer exists.”
It is reported that Special Operations Forces (SOF) drones destroyed the bridge with precise strikes during the night of June 22. Both the railway track was destroyed and one of the bridge spans collapsed.
At the same time, members of the SOF Resistance Movement reported the arrival of specialized railway repair equipment at the site. The second phase of the mission was then launched. During the night of June 23, SOF drones struck both the repair equipment and the remaining sections of the bridge.
“This was a strategic military-logistics artery for the occupiers. The facility was part of a transportation corridor used for the movement of cargo, resources, and military supplies in two key directions: from the territory of Russia through Crimea to support troop groupings on the southern front, and within the peninsula itself to sustain the functioning of Crimea’s military infrastructure.
The Special Operations Forces continue to destroy the enemy’s military logistics, reducing its offensive and defensive capabilities,” the Special Operations Forces said.
As previously reported, on the night of June 18, Deep Strike units of the Special Operations Forces, in cooperation with the resistance movement on Russian territory “Chornaya Iskra” (“Black Spark”), struck the Rostovnefteprodukt oil depot and a fuel and lubricants base in the city of Gukovo, Rostov region, which supplied the region’s transport system and supported the military logistics of the Russian army.
The MiddleStrike unit “Balista” of the Special Operations Forces showed footage of the disabled railway bridge across the North Crimean Canal near the settlement of Rozdolne in Crimea.
