French President Emmanuel Macron has announced that France will host the next meeting of the Coalition of the Willing in Paris on July 13–14 and said he will meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in the coming days to discuss the coalition’s future work, UATV English reports.

Speaking ahead of the EU–Western Balkans summit in Montenegro on June 5, Macron said:

“We will meet with President Zelenskyy in a few days in order to organize support within the Coalition of the Willing and to further structure its activities,” he said.

Macron added that he has invited all coalition members to Paris on July 13 and 14 for a formal meeting of the group.

The French president also invited coalition participants to take part in France’s national holiday celebrations on July 14, known as Bastille Day.

According to previous reports, this year’s Bastille Day military parade will be Macron’s last before leaving office and will provide an opportunity to highlight France’s political support for Ukraine.

The Coalition of the Willing has been under French leadership since November 2025 and is expected to transition to British leadership in July.

The format brings together around 25 countries that have committed to deploying a multinational force in Ukraine following the conclusion of a peace agreement with Russia.

Following a meeting on February 24, more than 30 participating countries reaffirmed their role in providing multi-layered security guarantees for Ukraine with US support.

Earlier, on January 6, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, President Macron, and President Zelenskyy signed a declaration of intent regarding the potential deployment of troops to Ukraine in the event of a peace settlement.
