President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy today, May 25, took part in the reburial ceremony of Colonel of the Army of the Ukrainian People’s Republic Army, head of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists Andrii Melnyk and his wife Sofia Fedak-Melnyk. The head of state reported this on Telegram, UATV English informs.
The reburial ceremony took place at the National Military Memorial Cemetery near Kyiv.
“When we were bringing Colonel Andrii Melnyk and his wife Sofia back to Ukraine through Zakarpattia and half the country more to our free capital, Kyiv, along this path there was no discord that so often previously knocked us down, knocked Ukraine off its feet. There was no doubt about who the real enemy of Ukraine is and who its friends, partners, and brothers are. And there was our gratitude, our unconditional gratitude to everyone who devoted their life to serving Ukraine and thanks to whom Ukraine withstands Russian strikes and endures,” Zelenskyy emphasized.

He noted that Andrii Melnyk returned to a free and strong Ukraine he had dreamed of.
“Colonel Andrii Melnyk returned to a different Ukraine: not the one he was forced to leave, but the one he dreamed of. A Ukraine dreamed of by him and thousands of other outstanding Ukrainian figures,” the head of state said.
Zelenskyy thanked everyone helping to create a pantheon of Ukrainian heroes.
