President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine is ready to provide certain support for the unblocking of the Strait of Hormuz, which the United States of America is working on.

The head of state said this while answering journalists’ questions online on Monday, reports UATV English.

The President noted that within the framework of his visit to the countries of the Middle East, he discussed potential support by Ukraine for the unblocking of the Strait of Hormuz.

“We raised this issue because it is painful and urgent for the whole world, as there is an energy crisis. They know that they can rely on our expertise in this direction. We spoke about this in detail, we shared the experience of the Black Sea corridor, how it functions,” the President said.

He added that his interlocutors had an understanding that the Armed Forces of Ukraine managed to effectively unblock the trade route in the Black Sea.

The President emphasized that the issue of the Strait of Hormuz is primarily being handled by the United States, and Ukraine, if necessary, is ready to support these efforts.

“As for Hormuz, in my opinion, the United States of America is dealing with this. We, of course, are always ready to help our partners,” the Ukrainian President stressed.

It is recalled that the foreign ministers of the G7 set a condition that the mission to ensure navigation safety in the Strait of Hormuz will be implemented only if the war in the Middle East is ended.

But the American side is currently not leaving the U.S. We are ready for the meeting — now the ball is on the side of the U.S. and Russia, the President of Ukraine explained.
