Former Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala said his country has fulfilled its goal of supplying Ukraine with large-caliber ammunition.
Writing on X, Fiala stated that Czechia had pledged this year to deliver 1.8 million rounds of large-caliber ammunition to Ukraine’s defenders, UATV English reports.
“I am pleased to confirm that we have now met this goal,” he wrote.
Czechia has become one of Ukraine’s key ammunition suppliers, alongside the United States and the United Kingdom.
Earlier, Czech Prime Minister and President Petr Pavel launched an initiative under which Prague uses its own channels to source ammunition for Ukraine outside the EU, while European partners finance the purchases.
