On Monday, June 8, Ukraine received the seventh tranche of financial assistance under the Ukraine Facility mechanism to support the state budget, amounting to €2.8 billion.
As reported by UATV English, this was announced by Guillaume Mercier.
Ukraine received €2.8 billion in financial assistance under the Ukraine Facility on June 8.
“Today, we disbursed around €2.8 billion to Ukraine under the Ukraine Facility. This funding will help Ukraine meet its budget-balancing needs and support the functioning of public administration as it continues to defend itself against Russia’s war of aggression,” Mercier said.
He specified that this is the seventh tranche under the Ukraine Facility.
The spokesperson recalled that since March 2024, total EU support for Ukraine under the Ukraine Facility has reached €29.5 billion.
“Today’s payment is the result of Ukraine implementing reforms in key sectors, including public finance, the judiciary, energy, agriculture, and digitalization. It also marks Ukraine’s continued progress on its path toward EU membership,” Guillaume Mercier stressed.
Earlier, the seventh tranche of financial assistance from the European Union under the Ukraine Facility mechanism — €2.8 billion — would be transferred to Ukraine at the beginning of June 2026.
Previously, Marta Kos stated that Ukraine had fulfilled a number of requirements necessary to receive the new tranche under the Ukraine Facility.
